No. 3 Trojans Set for Conference and Home Debut
The third-ranked Colby Community College volleyball team will host its home opener on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. inside the Colby Event Center against Garden City Community College. The Trojans return to action again on Saturday when Cloud County Community College visits for a 2:00 p.m. matchup.

The third-ranked Colby Community College volleyball team will host its home opener on Wednesday (Sept. 3) at 6:30 p.m. inside the Colby Event Center against Garden City Community College. The Trojans return to action again on Saturday (Sept. 6) when Cloud County Community College visits for a 2:00 p.m. matchup.
Colby enters the week with a 6-2 record after splitting four matches at the Marriott SpringHill Suites Cheyenne Invite. The Trojans closed the tournament on a high note, sweeping Central Arizona and Casper on the final day.
Sophomore outside hitter Karlotta Kattai continues to pace the offense with 114 kills, averaging 4.75 per set. Setter Amanda Caputi directs the attack with 261 assists, nearly 11 per set. Defensively, libero Anita Ferri has anchored the back row with a team-high 93 digs, while Chiara Binda has provided a strong presence at the net with 22 blocks. Both Binda and Kattai share the team lead in service aces with 12.
The Broncbusters come in at 2-6 overall, dropping five straight after early wins over Northeast and Lamar. Garden City averages 9.84 kills per set with a .166 hitting percentage. Andrea Dkordjevic leads the offense with 94 kills (3.03 per set), while Vitoria Reis has tallied a team-high 148 assists (4.9 per set). Defensively, Kamdyn Carr has collected 157 digs, and Katarina Miscervic has been a force at the net with 35 blocks, including 12 solo.
Cloud County enters Saturday's contest at 4-7 and on a two-match skid. The T-Birds have recorded 378 kills on a .104 hitting percentage this season. Grace Rowland leads the way with 105 kills (2.92 per set), while the team features two setters with over 100 assists and four players in double figures for service aces. At the net, Zoey Sudbeck has notched 27 blocks, while two other players are also over the 20-block mark. Defensively, two T-Birds have surpassed 100 digs.
The Trojans will aim to defend their home court this week as they open conference play. Following the two home matches, Colby will hit the road to face Hutchinson before traveling to the Northeastern Tournament, where they are slated to compete against four opponents.
