The three-day meet will feature a full slate of competition, beginning Thursday with the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon before transitioning into prelims and field events Friday and culminating with all running finals on Saturday.
With momentum built throughout the outdoor season, the Trojans enter the championship meet with multiple nationally ranked athletes and several top-10 seeds, positioning themselves as strong contenders across a variety of events.
On the men's side, Javano Bridgewater leads the sprint group as one of the top all-around performers. He enters the meet ranked 19th nationally in the 200 meters (20.83) and 24th in the 400 meters (46.78), while also holding the seventh-fastest seed time in the 400 at 46.78. Teammate Thomas Calas adds depth, sitting ninth, giving the Trojans a strong duo capable of scoring valuable points.
The distance group is headlined by Kenan Delestre, who has emerged as one of the top runners in the nation. Delestre owns a national qualifying mark in the 1500 meters and enters the 3000-meter steeplechase with the third-fastest seed time (9:05.24). He recently earned KJCCC Athlete of the Week honors following his standout performance at the Drake Relays. Japhet Kiprono also adds depth with a national qualifying mark in the 10,000 meters and is seeded ninth in the 5,000 meters (15:30.38).
On the women's side, the Trojans bring a balanced and highly competitive lineup, led by standout sprinter Beatrice Boakye. She enters the meet as the top seed in the 400 meters (54.62) and third in the 200 meters (23.69), while also holding national top marks in both events. Faith Vine joins her in the sprint group, seeded ninth in the 100 meters (11.87).
Randieunna Jeffery has also emerged as a key contributor, entering the 400-meter hurdles seeded sixth at 1:04.74. She recently qualified for nationals and holds the second-fastest time in school history in the event. In the distance events, Nadine McIntyre has put together an outstanding season and enters the championships as one of the top contenders. She is seeded second in the 5,000 meters (17:45.29) and eighth in the 1,500 meters (4:53.83), while also ranking third nationally in the 10,000 meters.
Colby's relay teams will also play a major role. The women's 4x100 relay enters seeded third (46.55), while the men's 4x400 relay sits fifth (3:17.54). Both squads have posted national qualifying marks this season and will look to capitalize in championship racing.
With multiple athletes seeded inside the top 10 and several national qualifiers, the Trojans enter the Region 6 Championships poised to make a splash.
