Colby Cross Country Runners’ Compete at the KJCCC and Region VI Championships
Arkansas City, Kan. - Colby cross country men’s and women’s runners competed Friday morning at the KJCCC and Region VI Championships held in Arkansas City.
Arkansas City, Kan. - Colby cross country men's and women's runners competed Friday morning at the KJCCC and Region VI Championships held in Arkansas City. Sophomore Rose Arthur finished first runner-up with a personal best time of 17:20, on the 5,000-meter course. Charity Mabuza Placed 8th with a time of 18:34, followed by Snegugu Mkhize in 39th place with a time of 21:46. Shahd Atwa ran her season debut finishing 49th overall with a time of 23:20.
Sibonelo Khumalo led the men's team to a sixth-place finish, placing 4th overall on the 8,000-meter course with a time of 23:53. Matheo Guimene placed 16th with a personal best time of 25:14. Kenan Delestre was 29th with a time of 26:30. Dakotah Kotchuck placed 51 with a personal best time of 28:23, and Brendnado Strachan rounded up the team score, placing 82nd overall.
Up next: The Trojan cross country teams will compete on Saturday, November 9th at the NJCAA Division I National Championship in Richmond, VA.
