CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Colby Community College volleyball team continues its climb in the national spotlight, moving up to No. 11 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll while taking sole possession of first place in the KJCCC standings. The Trojans now stand at 16-4 overall and remain unbeaten in conference play at 8-0.
Colby opened the week with a thrilling five-set victory over then-No. 8 Barton, handing the Cougars their first league loss of the season in a battle of nationally ranked programs. The Trojans carried that momentum back home, earning a four-set win over Seward County before closing the homestand on Monday with a commanding straight-set sweep of Pratt.
With the victories, Colby not only extended its winning streak but also solidified its place as the highest-ranked KJCCC program, overtaking Barton in both the standings and the national poll.
The Trojans now turn their attention back to the road, traveling to Garden City for a conference matchup on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 4 p.m.
