Caputi Collects Fourth KJCCC Setter of the Week Award
Colby Community College sophomore setter Amanda Caputi has been named the KJCCC Division I Setter of the Week for the fourth time this season after directing the Trojans to another perfect week in conference play.
COLBY, Kan. – Colby Community College sophomore setter Amanda Caputi has been named the KJCCC Division I Setter of the Week for the fourth time this season after directing the Trojans to another perfect week in conference play.
Caputi was steady and effective over two matches, totaling 82 assists across seven sets for an average above 13 sets per set. Her consistent distribution guided Colby to a .299 team hitting percentage on the week as the Trojans extended their unbeaten KJCCC record. In the home win over Dodge City, Caputi handed out 49 assists while adding six digs, one block, and one service ace. She followed two days later with 33 assists, five digs, and five blocks in a road sweep at Butler, showcasing her all-around impact on both sides of the ball.
With her fourth Setter of the Week honor, Caputi continues to be a driving force for the No. 12 Trojans as they push through the conference schedule with momentum. The ladies play tomorrow (Sept. 24) against rival No. 8 Barton in the Colby Event Center. Wear white if you are able to join us!
