CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After a busy week on the road, the Colby Community College volleyball team sits at No. 12 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll. The Trojans are now 11-4 overall and 3-0 in KJCCC play, following a sweep on the road at Hutchinson and split at the Northeastern JC Tournament in Sterling, Colo.
The Trojans began the week with a dominant sweep of Hutchinson, keeping their conference record unblemished at 3-0. Despite a challenging slate against nationally ranked opponents, Colby showcased its depth and balance with quality wins over Casper and Western Nebraska, while also battling No. 4 Odessa in a tightly contested matchup. Freshman standout Ella Dridi was rewarded for her consistent play by being named to the All-Tournament Team this weekend.
In the national landscape, Colby ranks as the second-highest KJCCC program, behind Barton at No. 4. The Trojans now turn their focus to a key conference matchup against Dodge City on Wednesday (Sept. 17) at the Colby Event Center.
