In Saturday's matchup of two undefeated Jayhawk Conference teams, the Colby Community College Lady Trojans topped the Hutchinson Blue Dragons in four sets, 25-19, 18-25, 25-11 and 25-23. The home win leaves CCC and Seward County as the only teams without a loss in the conference.

"We were excited to watch our girls utilize the scouting report and take care of the little things," said Colby head coach Carey Jones.

The Lady Trojans saw two players register double-doubles. Melanie Loiseau recorded 41 assists to go with 14 digs and Brennah Gaston finished with 15 kills and 13 digs. Nina Gorgijevska had 25 digs and Julie Archer led Colby with 17 kills.

"The girls pulled together after a few injuries and we saw the true strength of our bench," Jones said. "It was truly a team effort."

Colby, now 5-0 in the Jayhawk and 15-2 overall, travels to Concordia Wednesday to take on Cloud County (0-4, 3-12) for a 6:30 p.m. start.
