Colby Women’s 4x100m Relay Breaks School Record at Coyote Classic

SALINA, Kan. - Colby's women's track and field competed at the Coyote Classic in Salina, KS this weekend (April 17–18), turning in several strong performances across all events.
The highlight of the meet came in the 4x100m relay, where Colby's quartet of Faith Vine, Beatrice Boakye, Randieunna Jeffery, and Ashleah Hewitt made history by setting a new school record with a time of 46.55. The group delivered a strong, coordinated effort from start to finish to secure the mark. Their performance not only earned a first-place finish in the event but also established a new standard for the program moving forward.
On the track, Beatrice Boakye led the way with a dominant win in the 100m, crossing the line in 11.92 to take first place. Faith Vine also had a standout day, capturing the 200m title in 25.67 while finishing second in the 100m with a time of 12.26. Ashleah Hewitt added a top-three finish in the 100m as well, placing third in 12.29, as Colby showcased strong depth in the sprint group.
In the hurdles, Randieunna Jeffery delivered a solid performance in the 400m hurdles, placing second overall with a time of 1:07.14.
In the field events, Karlotta Kattai contributed in multiple events, finishing 16th in the shot put with a mark of 32-3.50 and 14th in the hammer throw with a toss of 109-6.
Overall, the Trojans showed strong depth across multiple event areas, highlighted by individual event wins and several top finishes on the track and in the field. Colby now turns its attention to an early-week meet in Hays at the Alex Francis Classic, set for Thursday (April 23), as they continue building momentum through the outdoor season.
