WAYNE, Neb. - The Colby Trojans women's track and field team turned in a standout performance at the Wildcat Invite on Friday (Feb. 6), highlighted by a new school record from the 4x400-meter relay. The quartet of Beatrice Boakye, Randieunna Jeffery, Faith Vine, and Amanda Yeboah stormed to first place in 3:57.49, setting both a new dome record and a new program record, while fueling a day filled with national-level marks and record-book movement for the Trojans.
Beatrice Boakye led the charge individually on the track, qualifying for the 60-meter finals before earning a third-place finish. She followed that effort with a runner-up performance in the 200 meters, crossing in 25.50. Boakye capped her day by anchoring one of the most significant races of the meet for Colby.
In the hurdles, Dekanya Webb delivered another strong showing, finishing third in the 60-meter hurdles finals in 9.08, a time that ties for second-fastest all-time at Colby.
The 4x400-meter relay of Boakye, Randieunna Jeffery, Faith Vine, and Amanda Yeboah surged to first place in 3:57.49, setting both a new dome record and a new school record. The performance now stands as one of the premier relay marks in program history and underscored Colby's depth and speed across the sprint group.
Colby's distance runners continued the momentum with a national-caliber effort from Nadine Mcintyre, who claimed first place in the 3000 meters with a time of 10:25.83. The mark ranks 15th in the nation and moves Mcintyre to seventh all-time in the Trojan record book.

By the end of the meet, Colby athletes had recorded multiple dome records, new school records, and numerous national top-30 marks, clear evidence of the momentum building within the Trojan track and field program. With several competitors continuing to climb the national rankings, Colby now turns its attention to the postseason.
