The Colby Community College women's basketball team dropped a tough home game to Dodge City Wednesday night at the Colby Community Building, 71-68.

Colby held a 37-34 halftime lead. The game stayed within five points the rest of the way, but the Lady Trojans were unable to convert on two key offensive rebounds late in the fourth.

Dezyree Morales led CCC with 18 and Journey Jones chipped in 16. Nearly half of Dodge City's points came from Alexus Johnson, who had 35.

Colby drops to 1-17 in the Jayhawk Conference and 3-17 overall. They are on the road Saturday for a 5:30 p.m. start against sixth-ranked Hutchinson Community College (17-1, 21-1).
