Christensen Earns All-Tournament Recognition
Sophomore infielder Briley Christensen earned NJCAA Division I Softball Plains District All-Tournament Team honors after a standout postseason performance for the Colby Trojans.
COLBY, Kan. – Sophomore infielder Briley Christensen earned NJCAA Division I Softball Plains District All-Tournament Team honors after a standout postseason performance for the Colby Trojans.
The Alberta native was one of Colby's biggest offensive contributors throughout the tournament, delivering key hits and driving in runs in all three games for the Trojans.
Christensen opened tournament play with a dominant performance in Colby's win over Barton, going 3-for-4 at the plate with six RBI to help power the Trojans offensively. Her production in the middle of the lineup helped spark one of the team's strongest offensive outings of the postseason.
She continued to contribute in the next game against Hutchinson, recording another hit as Colby battled through the elimination bracket. In the Trojans' season finale against Seward County, she once again stepped up offensively, finishing with two hits and driving in Colby's lone run of the contest.
Across the three district tournament games, the Trojan totaled six hits and seven RBI while consistently providing offense in crucial moments for the Trojans.
Christensen's all-tournament selection caps off a strong sophomore campaign and highlights the impact she made throughout her time in the Colby softball program.
