Trojans continue high standards

Softball thrives academically and on the field

For the past 24 years, the CCC softball team has been an NJCAA All-Academic Team. The 2020-2021 Trojans finished with a 3.58 GPA. Colby earned the top NJCAA academic spot in 2019 (3.67 GPA) among 131 peer institutions and has consistently been in the top 10 over the last nine years. The Trojans are the two-time KJCCC Division I Western Division champions and the KJCCC DI academic champs for the third year in a row.

Below are the highlights for the 2020-21 squad.

Savanna Anderson: NJCAA All-Academic First Team, KJCCC Division I All-Academic Team, President's Honor Roll.

Kaylee Armstrong: KJCCC West Division I First Team 3rd Base, KJCCC Division I All-Academic Team.

Maysa Averett: KJCCC West Division I Honorable Mention Pitcher, KJCCC Division I All-Region Honorable Mention Pitcher.

Gloria DiLauro: NJCAA All- Academic Second Team, KJCCC Division I All-Academic Team, President's Honor Roll.

Elle Edeker: KJCCC Division I All-Academic Team, NJCAA All- Academic Third Team.

Skylar Eidson: Vice President's Honor Roll, KJCCC Division I All-Academic Team.

Jennasi Fall: President's Honor Roll, KJCCC Division I All-Academic Team.

Madison Griffith: Vice President's Honor Roll.

Macy Gurnsey: NJCAA All-Academic First Team, KJCCC Division I All-Academic Team, President's Honor Roll.

Sydnee Hoffman: NJCAA All-Academic Second Team, KJCCC DI All-Region Second Team Outfield, KJCCC Division I All-Academic Team, Vice President's Honor Roll.

Darian Riggs: NJCAA All-Academic First Team, KJCCC Division I All-Academic Team, President's Honor Roll.
