Rodeo Set for 59th Annual Garden City Rodeo
The Colby Trojans rodeo team heads to Garden City Community College this weekend (March 27–29) to compete in the 59th Annual Broncbuster Rodeo at the Broncbuster Horse Palace Arena.
The Colby Trojans rodeo team heads to Garden City Community College this weekend (March 27–29) to compete in the 59th Annual Broncbuster Rodeo at the Broncbuster Horse Palace Arena.
Action begins Friday morning with slack at 10 a.m., followed by the first performance Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Competition continues Saturday with slack at 9 a.m. and the evening performance at 7:30 p.m., before wrapping up with the short go Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
In Friday slack, the Trojans will be active in breakaway roping with Dali Reser, Sadee Adamson, Mara Kats, and Alaura Crockett. Team roping will feature Lakoddah Downes and Kade Homm, while Kats and Crockett will also compete in barrel racing.
Friday night's performance will see Kade Homm represent Colby in tie-down roping.
On Saturday morning, Brooklynn Hughes will compete in goat tying, while Hughes and Emma Krase will take part in barrel racing during slack.
Saturday night's performance will feature Lakoddah Downes under the lights.
