Bio
Tim Servis joined Colby Community College in July 2024 as the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track & Field Coach. He brings over a decade of collegiate coaching experience, a strong track record of building competitive programs, and a passion for developing student-athletes on and off the course.
Before coming to Colby, Servis led the men’s and women’s cross country programs at NCAA Division II Southern Arkansas University from 2010 to 2024. During his tenure, he not only revitalized the cross country teams but also played a key role in reestablishing the outdoor track and field program in 2014 and launching the school’s indoor track and field teams in 2022.
"I'm thankful to be given the opportunity to lead the Trojan cross country program,” Servis said. “It’s an honor to be part of one of the most competitive junior college programs in the country, and I’m excited to carry the torch into the next era.”
Servis takes over a Colby program that saw tremendous success in 2023, with both the men's and women's teams winning Region VI and KJCCC titles. With his experience in building high-performing teams, Servis is poised to continue the tradition of excellence in Trojan distance running.
Prior to his time at SAU, Servis served as a student assistant coach while pursuing his master’s degree at the University of Central Arkansas (2008–2010). He also held head coaching roles at Lyon College (2005–2007) and served as interim cross country coach at Conway High School.
A native of Camden, Maine, Servis earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of the Ozarks and his master’s from the University of Central Arkansas. Outside of coaching, he enjoys spending time outdoors and walking trails with his dog, Luna.
