Men's Cross Country Moves Up to No. 16 in Recent Poll
The Colby Community College men's cross country team will continue the 2025 season tied at No. 16 in the USTFCCCA NJCAA Division I National Coaches' Poll posted earlier today.
NEW ORLEONS, La. – The Colby Community College men's cross country team will continue the 2025 season tied at No. 16 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NJCAA Division I National Coaches' Poll posted earlier today (Sept. 17).
The Trojans, under the direction of first-year head coach Mathew Scott, are off to a strong start with two solid team finishes to open the season. Sophomore Kenan Delestre has already posted back-to-back top-10 performances, while Jahpet Kiprono made his season debut last week and finished just behind Delestre in sixth place. Enoha Reizabel-Bellanger added a seventh-place finish at the Mutham Rogers Invite, helping the Trojans secure a runner-up team finish.
Colby now turns its attention to a challenging conference slate in the always-tough Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. Butler Community College began the season ranked No. 2 and currently sits at No. 7, while Hutchinson holds steady at No. 4 and Garden City checks in at No. 10. Ranked No. 16 nationally, the Trojans sit fourth among KJCCC programs in the poll and continue to establish themselves as a team to watch moving forward.
The team will return to action in a week and a half at the Gans Creek Classic
