No. 6 Hutchinson downs Trojans
Colby falls to 1-5 in the Jayhawk West with 91-74 loss
The sixth-ranked Hutchinson Blue Dragons left the Colby Community Building undefeated Wednesday night after they powered by the Colby Community College Trojans 91-74.
Trailing by 12 at halftime, the Trojans fell behind by as many as 32 in the second half before ending the game on a 20-4 run.
"We are a basketball team of spurts right now," said Trojans head coach Rusty Grafel. "We have times when we do a lot of good things, but those times are too far and between our bad spurts. Overall we just have to be better basketball players."
"I thought Ajou Deng played his best game as a Trojan and it was good to see Drew Young hit some shots and get some confidence back," Grafel added.
The Trojans fall to 1-5 in the Jayhawk Conference and 4-5 overall. They are back in action Saturday in Concordia against Cloud County Community College (5-1, 9-1). Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
