Hunt Seat Qualifies Three for Zones
Powell, Rollf, and Wright move on to compete at Stanford
The CCC equestrian team had a strong showing in their final regular season hunt seat show and regionals on March 8 and 9 in Fountain, Colo.
Maleia Powell was the champion in novice equitation, while Nalleli Rollf was the champion, and Elizabeth Wright was the reserve champion in introductory equitation.
The top two riders from each class move on to the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) Hunt Seat Zones on April 5 and 6, hosted by Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.
"Thanks to their hard work throughout the year, our qualifiers were mentally and physically prepared for Regionals," said Coach Sara Jamison. "This led to their success in the show ring!"
